ARUBA

     This surreal self portrait was created from a memory of being in Aruba completely comfortable and tranquil. Having a life changing experience of scuba diving placed my mind somewhere fantastical. The memory helps me escape from reality placing me somewhere unfamiliar yet calming by allowing the warm monochromatic tones of orange and yellow to represent existing serenely.
